Julie Andrews rose to eminence by acting in Musicals like My Fair Lady and Camelot, both of which got her Tony Award nominations. In 1957, she appeared on television as Cinderella in the Musical with the same name, which was viewed by over 100 million viewers.

She received her second Academy Award Nomination for the Musical and one of my personal favorites, ‘The Sound Of Music’ (1965) and won the Golden Global Award for Best Actress In a Musical. She has had many other box office successes between 1964 and 1967, making her the most successful fim star in the world at that time.
