Chronicles of an Ingenious Blogger: A Letter from the Digital Santa Claus

With Christmas just around the corner, it is time to look forward to the visit of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

Presenting a letter from the Digital Santa Claus to modern day children below:

My Dear Children,

Ho Ho Ho! It is that time of the year again! I know that most of you already have your wish lists ready and are looking forward to my visit to your homes! But, how have you been this year? Have you been good or naughty? Do not want to answer that? Never mind! I have my ways!

Do you know where my headquarters are? My Official Headquarters are at North Pole! There are two servers named the Naughty and Nice Servers. The Naughty Server houses all the details about children who have been naughty this year. Similarly, the Nice Server houses all details about children who have been nice this year. There are respective databases for the two categories of children! Your first naughty act of the year gets yours account created in the Naughty domain and subsequent naughty acts are just added to this account. Similarly, your first Nice act gets your account created in the Nice domain and subsequent nice acts are just added o this account. For every nice act, you are entitled to one gift card. You can use the gift card to get a gift online at my website. You can choose to download music, games and/or movies from my website. For goodies that you need to be delivered at your doorstep on Christmas Eve, you could choose Home Delivery, in which case I will deliver them at your doorstep, riding on my sleigh with my reindeers, just like old times! I will, of course, take care to ride my sleigh within the speeding restrictions of your country! And do not forget to keep your chimneys clean! I may still choose to visit your homes through the chimney (if you have one), though this may appear to be archaic to you! Also, I will fill the stockings of Nice children with the gifts that they wish for, on Christmas Eve! But this is a privileged service or should I say a ‘Special Offer’ in modern times, exclusively for Nice children! So, remember to hang your stockings before Christmas Eve! All naughty children will find their stockings filled with coal! So you better be nice and well-behaved!

Feel free to communicate with me through emails, faxes and letters! I do go through every single letter, email and fax sent to me! So do not worry! If it is possible to handle all requests online, then I will most likely work from home, on my laptop, this festive season. Each elf on my team has a smart phone with suitable apps to help him in his responsibilities and day-to-day activities.

My workshop or toy factory has state of the art infrastructure to come up with the latest and most innovative toys and games for the children of the digital age. Here is how my workshop used to look in the olden days.

This year, every toy from Santa’s workshop will have a complimentary Elfie of the Elf who worked and created the toy. Also, every Christmas gift will come with a complimentary Santa Selfie free! But, do not forget! Terms and Conditions Apply! Only nice children get to enjoy these gifts! So be good and nice children!

I may also text messages to children who have been truly adorable! So look out for my festive messages.
